Some Show (about a Murder) In St Louis

I'm proud to announce my "home group" of Affton CenterStage will be presenting Some Show (about a Murder) on Friday March 3rd and Saturday March 4th at the Royale Orleans Banquet Hall. Affton CenterStage is the theatre group that gave me my start. It's also the group that irons out all my new scripts and performs them for the first time before a live audience. If you are in the St. Louis area and want to see where it all began.

Death of a Doornail In Aurora, Indiana

Hillforest, 213 Fifth Street, Aurora, will be the scene of a crime on Friday and Saturday, April 21 and 22, when Rivertown Players will team up with Hillforest Historical Foundation and co-sponsor Aurora Public Library to present the entertaining murder mystery, “Death of a Doornail.” Dinner will be served at 6:30 P.M. both evenings at Hillforest and will be followed by a mystery filled with humor, misunderstandings, and suspense. The audience will be treated to a delicious catered meal and the dramatic talent of Rivertown Players as they present the production. Albert Doornale has vanished; his spacious mansion seems to be the scene of the crime. There is no shortage of suspects as family members, his ex-wife, and a questionable business partner show up on the evening of his disappearance. A detective happens to come along, followed by much finger-pointing and confusion. Every person would have something to gain by Doornale’s demise. Guests will be served dessert during an intermission and will be offered an opportunity to share their conclusions before the play ends.

Hillforest, a National Historic Landmark, is the 1855 home of Thomas and Sarah Gaff. Open to the public since 1956, the Victorian house museum has been carefully restored to give guests a glimpse into the life of the successful entrepreneurial Gaff family. The April event is open to the public. The cost is $40 for Hillforest members and $45 for non-members. Reservations may be made by calling (812)- 926-0087 or by stopping in at the museum at 213 Fifth Street between 9 A.M. and 5 P.M. Monday through Friday.
